Ericka Valladares [soi-k] b.1989 South West Alief Houston,Texas 

Soi-K she/her is an Artist, Designer, and mostly thinker.

She has studied Interior Design, Graphic Design, Cultural Anthropology, & currently learning Audio Recording Technology. 

She uses diverse mediums such as paint, xerox, ink, & digital tools to capture her abstract conceptual style. Encouraged by her Professor and Houston Artist Walter Wagner, she discovered her love for abstract and fluid shapes while drawing using a Sanguine Colored Conté. Today shading and cross-hatching are an integral part of her line-work drawings. 

Her approach to art-making takes inspiration from her son, whose inquisitive and curious nature has taught her to think similarly. As a family they love to create art, learn music and cherish self-expression as an essential and elemental part of life.
